Camping Le Brévedent hits the perfect spot for us - utterly authentic and chilled but also doing a great job of catering for families with activities that are brilliant enough to get adults involved too. The pool, restaurant, cafe, playgrounds and live music are all great, and the friendly staff give it a real unique air - I can’t even think of an equivalent holiday park in the UK because of that French je ne sais quoi.

Een afdakje/ luifel (naast de parasol) oid zou fijn zijn, zodat je ergens droog kan zitten als het regent (en daaronder buiten kan koken) en wat meer schaduw hebt

Mooie camping, vriendelijk personeel. Alles was schoon. We verbleven in een lodge tent. Dat was gezellig ingericht en rond de tent was er veel ruimte. We stonden aan het meer en door het riet was dit toch gewoon goed te doen met kleine kinderen.

We hadden zelf iets beter moeten realiseren dat het in een tent nooit echt donker wordt, dus de kindjes sliepen s avonds pas heeeeel laat.

The animals, chickens running around, babbling brook, magical forest, amazing live music, care for the environment, loads to discover - climbing trees, playgrounds, zipwire, wonderful , friendly, environmentally-conscious team, lots of vegetarian food

The bottom of the site feels just a little crowded - the pitches are very close together but still mostly peaceful and quiet. Maybe the plant-based options could be expanded in the cafe- e.g. plant-based milks for coffee, and one plant-based ice cream option would be great :)

There were stains on our canvas tent which at first we thought could be mould but it didn't smell of mould at all - probably just flecks of mud and rain. Not really a problem but made it look a bit dirty/mouldy

De smaakvolle en gezellige optredens, even wat anders dan de standaard musicals en campingbands. Ook een mooi locatie in een beekdal,. Erg vriendelijke staf.

Het sanitair was verouderd. Sommige douches functioneerden niet goed. Het eten in het restaurant zou ook wat beter kunnen.

Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed the community/ family atmosphere. Beautiful location and aesthetic of the campsite. My son found it easy to make friends which was a big bonus

The food at the restaurant was disappointing. I would like it to be more french bistro style. / salads etc Maybe more activities for kids 10- 13. The crazy golf was fun but a bit too crazy. Could it be repaired to make it better

Not quite as spacious as expected — with children and all their stuff! One of us found the bed too hard/firm so ended up sleeping on the pull out bed instead.

Het is een prachtige kleinschalige camping in een mooie omgeving. Genoeg te doen in de buurt, maar op de camping ook voor jong en oud, de dieren de live muziek, de bar, het restaurant en het zwembad. Allemaal erg mooi en heel plezierig! Ook de campungeigenaar Rafael is een echte fijne vent. Super geïnteresseerd en behulpzaam. Wij komen zeker terug.

Sommige douches werkten suboptimaal, afvoer/afzuiging idem - hierdoor sanitair wat minder, hoewel het er wel vrij schoon was.

Ruime tent, bed oké, meubilair prima. Let erop dat je apart een kooksetje erbij moet huren (alleen bbq inbegrepen). Handig voor ons dat het huren van een baby-setje (campingbedje en kinderstoel) mogelijk was.

We misten een voortent, bij regen moest alles weer naar binnen verplaatst.

Un cadre idyllique. Un accueuil juste parfait. Les emplacements sont tous charmant et spacieux. La piscine est grande. Plusieurs concerts dans la semaine. L'équipe est impliqué et au petit soin de ses vacanciers. Je recommande chaleureusement le camping du Brevedent.. Un camping respectueux de l environnement. A proximité de magnifiques village typique normand et des plages de la côte fleurie.. Approchez approchez du Brevedent n'ayez crainte ??

Le côté insolite.. la luminosité de la tente... Des lits dans une tente c est quand même cool !! Mini frigo et électricité.. c est dépaysant mais c est pas non plus koh lantah ??.. Le hamac au bord du lac est vraiment un + .. Tente parfaitement étanche .

Un peu frais le matin mais les couettes sont fournies.. donc prenez un petit pyjama et tout se passera bien..

nous avons était surclassé donc nous avons eu droit a un chalet au lieu d'une tente. le chalet pour 4 personnes est top. je me suis permis d'aller ouvrir une tente pour voir et elle m'ont l'aire vraiment bien aussi, terrasse, cuisine, hamac, barbecue, juste besoin de ce qu'il faut pour dormir par rapport au chalet.

We love it here, so tranquil. The people are lovely and very accommodating, the site is utterly beautiful and safe to allow the kids freedom to play. There is an ethos of sharing & respect and kindness that you can feel as you move around the site.

We had never glamped before and we were not disappointed! Lovely space and the little touches, such as pretty china cups, made our break very special. The beds were super comfy and rugs on the floor added extra comfort. The hammock by the lake was ultimate relaxation!

Busy yet peaceful and quiet and incredibly relaxing. Staff were all amazing, male waiter (tattoo on elbow) always gave 110%. No light pollution - incredible night skies.

The perfect 'glamping' experience

We had the most wonderful week at Castel camping in one of the lodge tents (out spot was saved for two years due to covid so thank you again to the team for that!) And wow, what a delight! A stunning location, warm welcome and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere throughout. So much for the kids (swimming pool, pony trekking, a stream to paddle in, animals to pet, playground etc) but also for the grown ups too (we loved the live music!) Our 6 year old daughter is already asking if we can go back next year. A great base to explore Normandy but also a genuine pleasure to spend time and chill out in.

This is a little piece of heaven. A happy, safe and fun place we have been back to seven times. Raphael and all his team are simply excellent hosts.

Just the journey from the far north of England - but then the fact that we put up,with that to spend time here speaks volumes! Bravo Raphael! Oh and I guess the recycling area was overflowing on more than one occasion.

We had the most wonderful time! A cool and quirky campsite in gorgeous surroundings. The family were always polite, friendly and very helpful, not to mention super talented! The music on Friday and Sunday was fantastic and there was a really lovely vibe around these areas. Thank you for a fab few days, we can’t wait to return!

The shower was quite cold but I’ll forgive this campsite as everything else was perfect!

It had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. Lots of useful furniture but also plenty of space. Loved the outside area with hammock, deck chairs and table and chairs.

We love everything about Le Brevedent! It is family run, relaxed and friendly. The children have freedom and safety in the natural surroundings. It is not over commercialised and yet they find plenty to entertain themselves. The owner Raphael has a band that play twice a week in the open air and they encourage anyone that wants to play/sing to come up. I can’t praise it enough. We’ll be back!

The kitchen equipment lacked a good big chef style knife and there were no bowls only plates. Perhaps a chopping board for meat and one for non meat might be a good idea

Heerlijke camping, gemoedelijk en veel sfeer. Open podium avond is erg vermakelijk. Zwembad prima, wat aan de kleine kant. Locatie is een mooie uitvalsbasis voor Normandie. Half uur naar het strand, ook erg leuk.

Le Brévedent is a (relatively) small and picturesque camping situated next to a small pond, in an area of Normandy that invites you to lay back and relax. Children love to run around on the camping, jump in the swimming-pool and feed the rabbits. We loved to barbecue, as each lot of the camping has it's own little bbq. Le Brévedent's host and team is totally sympathetic and warm-hearted.

The on-camping restaurant unfortunately has nothing of the charm of the rest of the camping and we found the quality of the cooking quite below the standard of Normandy's excellent cuisine

Tout était super. Pourquoi pas rajouter un plateau dans le matériel, pour apporter à table les différents plats et couverts au lieu de faire de multiples aller/retour

Les arbres plantés seront les bienvenus quand ils auront atteint une certaine ampleur. ainsi, ils permettront de créer un espace un peu plus délimité entre les emplacements. Pour autant, merci de nous pas nous "ranger" dans des emplacements clôturés de haies tirées au couteau!

A beautiful and clean site set in stunning surroundings. The staff are wonderful and very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend camping le brevedent to anyone and will certainly be visiting again.

Beautiful location in a quiet and well kept campsite with plenty to do and good facilities. The pool is clean and well maintained and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Even if (like me) your French is terrible.

The restaurant was a bit disappointing, considering the location in the breadbasket of France. Not bad as such, just bland. Toilet and shower block were very clean and well kept, but very dark.

Very airy, comfortable accomodation. Very clean and well presented with most everything you would need for a stay provided. The little extras like the hammock and welcoming gifts really made it feel special. If you like to cook then probably bring some of your own equipment, its not possible for the site to provide everything.

Prachtige camping. Veel groen met verschillende bomen. Ruime plekken. Wij hadden een Lodge gehuurd. Heerlijke bedden. ijskastje, waterkoker. Bij aankomst een flesje cider. Helemaal leuk. Ligging tent bij klein meertje. Je hoorde de vissen spartelen. Personeel bijzonder aardig en relaxed. Minpuntje was het sanitair. Dit behoefde duidelijk een upgrade.

Het sanitair aan onze kant was minimaal en zeker aan revisie toe.

Our particular stand (L10) barely had any shadow in the afternoon. Between about 17:00h and 19:30 there was no shadow at all. We were lucky with the sunny weather, but unfortunately in this time frame it would simply be too hot at our stand to stay there without shadow. We would usually flee to the bar or the pool. So a tip would be to create more shadow in this place :)
