Second visit to Camping RIVIERE DE CABESSUT. The pitches are of a good size and we found it to be a very quiet site, which suits us. The facilites are excellent, clean and up to date. The swimming pool is very good, more suitable for families with children, but we did enjoy cooling off there on a hot day. Well located for accessing the beautiful town on Cahors either on foot or cycle.

The motorhome facilities are tucked away on a field which seems to be a bit of an overflow for caravans and motorhomes. It is a bit too close to one of the pitches and would obviously be disruptive to anyone camping nearby. It would be better is it could be relocated away from the pitches and nearer the entrance area.

After traveling for 3 months and using many campsites across Europe, this would have to be the best by far. Superb spacious pitches, excellent facilities, fantastic pool, with separate kiddies area, family pool and main pool. Great site services for motorhome travel with bread and croissant available at reception daily, and visiting vegetable market supplier and evening Rotisserie or Pizza.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment au camping. C'était calme, l'accueil est excellent, les sanitaires propres et toujours de l'eau chaude. Piscine très agréable et possibilité de commander des pizzas sur place.

Même si il est possible d'acheter des bouteilles d'eau congelés pour la glacière (1Euro), l'accès à un congélateur pour pouvoir mettre les blocs de glace personnels aurait été appréciable, c'est le cas dans la plupart des campings.

Mooie camping. Ruime plaatsen. Exceptioneel schone toiletruimten. Prima zwembad voor een heerlijke verfrissende duik. Prima afstand van Cahors om te voet te verkennen. Heerlijk eten in de stad elke dag een andere plek.

Chemisch toilet legen is al geen leuke hobby. Maar alleen een pijp om in te legen was een beetje behelpen. Niet onoverkomelijk.

Les plus de ce camping : Son calme et le bon accueil de l'équipe dirigeante. Le petit train touristique du samedi matin pour se rendre sur le marché de Cahors. A souligner également ; le respect des installations mis à disposition par l'ensemble des autres campeurs.

Nous avons aimé les emplacements de bonnes dimensions et bien ombragés. La proximité du camping par rapport à la ville de Cahors et son accès simple et rapide au centre ville via la navette en bus gratuite en semaine (10 à 15 mn de marche seulement pour atteindre la navette)

Sanitair 's avonds laat (vanaf ongeveer 11 uur al!) en 's nachts heel slecht tot helemaal niet verlicht! Er brandt dan geen enkele lamp, als je zelf geen zaklamp meeneemt kun je echt je ding niet doen ;-(

Eventually they allowed us to change to much nicer grassy pitch

We were originally given a really horrid pitch that was dark and damp under trees that obscured any sun. Consequently there was hardly any grass, just mostly bare earth with a fresh lit of worm castseach morning. They really need to get rid of some of these trees and start again.

Friendly warm welcome from the lady at reception. She told us to walk around the site and choose our pitch. Nice to have hot water for dishes, not always available on campsites in France. A bonus to have toilet paper provided! Good that we could order bread for the next day as it was quite a walk in to Cahors centre. We enjoyed our 3 night stay here.

Mooie ruime plaatsen, voldoende schoon sanitair. Leuk zwembad! Niet echt kindercamping! 1, 5 km tot centrum Cahors ( voldoende eet-,drink gelegenheden in alle prijsklassen. Omgeving echt de moeite waard en goed befietsbaar. Ook mooie wandelroutes in omgeving ( Cahors is doorgang van pelgrimspad naar Santiago de Compostella. En voor de wijnliefhebber is dit de streek van de Malbec!
