The site is very relaxed. The pool seems to have been revamped recently and appears to be warmer than I recall from previous visits. The bar and restaurant also seems to be a whole lot better than my memory serves - the staff were very welcoming, the area inside and out was a delight to eat in and the standard of cooking was excellent.

Of the pitches we were offered 3 of the 4 were unsuitable - 1 was far too small, 1 was in a not very nice spot next to the garage and 2 were completely masked by low hanging trees - we could not have pitched on them without potentially damaging our caravan. While there is a fairly recently installed toilet block, the other blocks round the site are now in need of upgrading. 9 am is too late to open the shop for breakfast.

we did find a good pitch in the end - the site was very busy for so early in the season.

We did find a nice pitch but it was a long way from the electricity post. I noted a number of other pitches also needed extension leads. There seemed to be a lack of identifiable grey-waste water disposal points so some people seemed to just drain their waste onto their pitch under or behind their vans, which I'm sure you will agree is less than ideal from a hygiene point of view.

Eventual site was great. Restaurant staff extremely welcoming. Shop well stocked.

Initial reception slightly haphazard with regard to site. Initial site already occupied by spill over from adjacent site. No one to guide to site.

Site backing onto fence with trees marking site limits. Nice setting close to chateau and modern facilities block.

Unsure where gray water disposal situated. Chemical disposal clear. Later in stay showers running cool.

I enjoy the general ambiance of the site and its position re the landing beaches and monuments.

I was disappointed with how reception went. It was alleged our travelling companions had asked for site 12 which was untrue- they had never been to Martragny before and knew nothing of it. We were then directed to two pitches which were too small as neighbouring units had encroached upon the sites. The emplacements in that area were not well defined and obviously no one checks or takes people to their pitch otherwise we could have used the pitches. We did find suitable pitches and enjoyed our stay thereafter.

Had a great few days. Lovely location and good service from all staff on site. Clean facilities, lovely meal on site and good resources in the shop.

Our pitch was quiet with hedge dividers which we like. Gives privacy. Plenty of shade for the dog. Good size and flat for the camper van.
