General information :
Loverly chateau setting with fields and woods all around. Great, helpful staff. Peaceful feel to the place. Had a great stay.
Not much to dislike. Only thing was didn't know of some services, like their option to get an onsite covid test, which would have made our travels home that little bit easier - but gernally everything was well communicated and really enjoyed it.

Prachtige plekken. Animatie super. Vooral de gezamenlijke bbq en de fright night waren super geregeld
Soms moest je wachten om naar de toilet te kunnen, er waren te weinig dames toiletten

Chanteloup is simply a unique camping experience. Everything about the location, the chateau, Benoit and Valerie as hosts, and the general ambience. I love to be there when I am there, and long to be there when I am not.

De omgeving is fraai. Leuk voor wandelingen en mountainbiken over boerenpaden en heuvelpaden. Op de camping wordt heerlijk brood bezorgd. Ook de bar is leuk.
De camping voelt een beetje aan als een afgesloten resort. Dat ligt niet aan de camping zelf maar dat komt vooral omdat het direct buiten de camping nogal saai is. In geen van de omliggende dorpen is iets te doen. Geen barretje, geen terras, geen restaurant. Alleen een kapper en een bakker. Het gebrek van leven in de omgeving haalt voor mij wel de sjeu van het verblijf af. Omdat je op de camping al snel in het Engels wordt aangesproken, ook als je Frans wilt proberen te praten, wordt het resort-gevoel versterkt en zou je kunnen vergeten dat je in Frankrijk bent. Dat vind ik wel jammer.

Thank you very much for your very nice note. There are still a lot of things to see and do in the area. In the old part of Le Mans you have more life and many restaurants. There are certainly more touristy areas in France but we still have a lot of clients who have been coming back for 30 years, so they are not bored. And yes, we do instinctively speak to you in English because the majority of our customers are English or Dutch and very much appreciate us doing so, but if you ask us to speak French, we will gladly do so so that you can practice. We look forward to seeing you in Chanteloup

Ruime plek Landhuis met grasveld, bbq (dessert was top!) Contact vooraf per mail was goed Vuilophaaldienst!
Receptie kan meer info geven over de omgeving en wat bijv top 20 bezienswaardigheden zijn. Staanplaats was afgelegen / niemandsland (plekken om ons heen zijn leeg) Toegankelijkheid voor mindervaliden is niet goed (toilet en zwembad = wel goed) paden absoluut niet, grind om het landhuis is voor rolstoel moeizaam doorheen te komen.

Thank you very much for this feedback, very important for us. We have only been here since 2020, for the tourist questions, we still don't know everything, especially since during the COVID period we couldn't visit everything. But we will organise ourselves much better next year. Concerning your pitch, you have chosen a comfort pitch with sewage disposal, and they are all in the "wood" zone, far away and quiet because you connect directly to the sewage system and don't need to be near the toilets. Next time, ask for a change of location, we are always at your disposal.
