We travelled the Normandie and stayed at the camping Le Brévedent for 4 nights. It was the perfect place to relax as a family and do some day trips in the region. The hosts are very friendly and offer a lot of activities to make their guests enjoy their stay. We especially liked the music evening which brought a lot of joy.

Met het gezin hebben we wederom een fijne tijd beleefd. Om de dag hebben we tripjes gemaakt in de regio, de andere dagen heerlijk gerelaxed op de camping. Er was voor elk wat wils, op elk moment. Onze kinderen hebben nieuwe vrienden gemaakt en wij ook. De hoge mate van vriendelijkheid en behulpzaamheid van het personeel is fantastisch. Ook vinden we de sfeer heel fijn. We hebben vrijwel nergens bordjes gezien met regels terwijl iedereen zich toch netjes gedraagt, knap en fijn. De muziekavonden zijn super en de hoge bomenwand aan de achterzijde van het meertje zijn fabelachtig. Het was weer top

De voorzieningen zijn her en der wat gedateerd en aan een upgrade toe. Verder viel gedurende ons gehele verblijf op dat er wc brillen los waren of dat er in een wc hokje geen verlichting was. Kleine zaken gedurende piekdrukte maar wellicht is het handig om de schoonmakers gereedschap en nieuwe lampen mee te geven. Verder was alles goed geregeld.

Everything was really nice except for the showers and toilets having spiders in them. Not for mature couples in school holidays unless you like children screaming and shouting after 10.30 pm.

A stunning site with a magical atmosphere - the most friendly, welcoming site we have ever stayed at - the live music was the icing on the cake.

Really great campsite with live music, lovely lake to canoe in, great grounds for children to roam. Fresh baked goods in the morning and a lovely restaurant.

The toilets/shower room could have done with a bit more upkeep and the live music nights could have been a bit more different. One of the external activities was a circus, I would love to have seen this animal-free, though others did enjoy it.

We love everything about Le Brevedent! It is family run, relaxed and friendly. The children have freedom and safety in the natural surroundings. It is not over commercialised and yet they find plenty to entertain themselves. The owner Raphael has a band that play twice a week in the open air and they encourage anyone that wants to play/sing to come up. I can’t praise it enough. We’ll be back!

Voor sfeer & gezelligheid een dikke 10, mooie en uitgestrekte camping! Veel zwemplezier!

De wespen! Maar dat hoort nu eenmaal bij een natuurlijke omgeving!

Zeer grote oppervlakte voor onze tent, we hadden plaats genoeg om zelfs badminton te spelen

Er was weinig schaduw tijdens de hete dagen maar dat hebben we met de buren kunnen oplossen!

Allgemein :

A beautiful campsite with loads to do for kids, and run by really lovely people. Good facilities with a lovely cafe and shop. Loads of info about the local area. Nice pools, too, one that was good for little kids.

The food at the restaurant was hit-and-miss, although we didn't mind too much as it was well located in view of the playground, so we could relax with a drink while the kids ran around.

The rambling topography of the site, combined with the backdrop of the ageing chateau, make the site a much more interesting site than your average camper / touring site where everything is laid out in rows.

High season they definitely pack you in. We had a relatively discreet spot, but in general the pitches weren't very private. As such it felt like we couldn't really leave the site without being a complete nuisance to other campers.
