Pillows were not good. Lumpy and very uncomfortable

General :

We enjoyed the pool & slides, could always get a subbed, night swim & crepe making were good. Liked the man playing guitar outside little bar. Enjoyed fishing although never caught anything! We played tennis, table tennis, kids enjoyed play area. Take away & restaurant good. Great pitch size with hedges all round.

General :

Great campsite with lots of available activities. All the staff were really helpful and accommodating. The children loved the pools and lagoon. Would definitely stay again.

The fonteko water machine was a bit temperamental with big queues of people waiting to use it at times. It didn't seem like the most efficient system which meant sometimes you lost some water. Also the recycling bins were temperamental and it was hard to scan the Qr code from the bag.

Fantastic ideal to have these. It was really nicely done inside with a shower toilet and sink. The washing up outside was fab too. Really useful having these on the pitch.

The water pressure in the shower could’ve been better but didn’t bother us too much.

General :

We love the facilities, the quietness of the pitches and the variety of activities. This would have been our 7th year at the site had it not been for the virus that shall not be named! We are coming back next year for sure.

I think that there could be a few more varied items for teenagers - not everyone likes football for example. Perhaps touch/tag Rugby tournament. The hacks at the riding school need to be split be ability as my daughters are quite advanced in riding, but also had some who were not in their group.

I love my premium pitches, the fact that I do not have to play around with water barrels etc everyday makes my holiday! The fridge really helped this year with heat as the caravan one was not happy at all. The potential of have your own toilet/shower on the pitch for future will really set La Garangoire apart from other sites!

For my pitch (Ile de Brehát) and the neighbouring pitch having no shade at all during the day was particularly difficult this year, even with the umbrella. I think that these to pitches would benefit from something like a garden sail for a bit of shade as the other pitches have trees. I think that having the shade covering the fridge area as well would help the fridge to stay cooler as well.

General :

Our 9th time back at Garangeoire. Always a great holiday.

Pool a bit too busy and get need more comfortable sun beds.

Nice walks, and very good restaurant.

Found booking the wine and cheese events were booked out days in advance so could probably do with additional places available for this type of event.

Very large pitch. Nicely shaded as requested. Quiet.

A little far from and downhill from the greywater and toilet disposal point.

General :

We loved the pool in the morning before it got busy, we loved the boulevard and having a coffee. The take away was good. We loved our own toilet. Staff were lovely. Would return

The pool in the afternoon was heaving with little kids which was a shame because it was so hot it was what you wanted to do. I sometimes wished there was a place to go and just sit like a town square feel. Maybe some chairs by the fountain, some fairy lights in the evening, some music playing. It was hard because drinks at the bar were so expensive if you wanted to go and see life you had to spend a fortune. A bit more teenage friendly things. Everything seemed full of little kids. Maybe have different options and mark it on schedule so that some things were more for adults.

The sanitary facilities were so convenient. The size of the pitch

Looked a bit scruffy from the outside. Ripped green matting, some weird wooden trellis that kept falling over round the back. Sharp gravel that migrated round the pitch. Light in the bathroom was so dim we had to leave the door open for light. Definitely needs a better light. Could be on a sensor so comes on when you go in. Maybe the window could be made opaque so you could have light coming through with privacy.

La superficie de l’emplacement et sa propreté

General :

Pitch and accommodation was fantastic. Accommodation was beautifully clean and very well presented. On site were so many activities for our 10 year old to attend yet the right amount that quality family time was easily accomplished. Staff from check in to final inspection where professional yet very friendly. In all a fanatic stay and we certainly look forward to returning.

Just couple of minor points which are very much out of the ordinary for La Garangeoire, the on site shop was to short of stock (basics) at the end of our stay. Secondly the teens meet ups - my 14 year turned up at one meet but no one was there (staff) in the end he gave up on teen activities. On previous stays the campers arranged a twice weekly touch rugby friendly game it would have nice if the site had picked up on this and run game, not everyone loves football. Overall none of the issues affected our overall stay and as I previously wrote it’s still a fantastic place.

Beautiful. What a little gem. We have been on many sites and stayed in many types of accommodation. This by far is the best and cleanest we have stayed in.

No. Not at all

General :

Huge pitch with private facilities which was well worth the extra. Reception staff are incredibly helpful with everything from check in to advice about days out and activities. Eva and Faustine were particularly helpful. Pool was a perfect temperature and most days you could get a sun bed. Kids (aged 14 and 11) met plenty of others their ages and although didn’t chose to do many of the organised activities could have it they wanted to. We will be back!
