ce qu'on a aimé, tout d'abord l'accueil très chaleureux, le confort de notre location, la propreté, les services de proximité directe (épicerie, restauration, belle piscine, mini-golf, balades, animations en soirée, tout est top!

General :

Very efficient well run operation, fantastic staff, clean facilities and excellent large pitches to meet all requirements. Excellent range of activities across the age ranges and many free which is a bonus.

I know we were part of the problem being English but it was a shame that the site was not more mixed - why aren’t the French or Dutch or Germans using this fabulous site - do the Brits just book it up so early? As we were on the tail end of the season some activities weren’t running eg archery and teenage paintballing (despite having booked at reception)or had unadvertised adjusted timings eg aquafit - but that was not a big issue. Thought the take away food outlet was rather understaffed when we used it and the two staff running it were doing a sterling job despite the heavy demand.

Cleanliness of facility and size of pitch was excellent. No additional charges for extra tents or shelters.

The shower wasn’t great and we did get someone out to look at it (very speedily I should add) but there was nothing they could do.

General :

Reception were amazing. Always helpful and went out of their way to help us with a local garage when we had a flat battery. They were so helpful with booking activities or giving us discount codes. Showers and toilets were very clean and never busy. The pool was brilliant for kids as well as the play area and mini golf. The lagoon was lovely for playing with inflatables. All staff were friendly and helpful.

No sinks at the ladies toilets apart from in 1 unisex toilet.

Location by the meadow. Size of pitch. Services to pitch. Not too far from showers and toilets and washing up sinks.

General :

Reception staff were incredibly helpful, especially when my daughter needed to see a Doctor. We enjoyed the exercise classes available in our first week (unfortunately reduced/not available in the second). Great swimming facilities and loved horse riding.

From the Friday 26, the activities available were significantly reduced and the covered swimming pool started getting cold, suggesting that the heating had been turned off. In addition, the toilets persistently did not have soap in them. It seems to me that there was a clear correlation between the site being less busy with the services offered. However, we still paid high season price for this period of time and should have been offered the same level of activities and services as the previous week.

It was great having the extra facilities and not having to take seats etc from home. The fridge was super useful especially in the hot weather. We loved the space of the pitch.

General :

Very relaxing stay on an extremely well maintained and friendly site, a great selection of food and drink offerings From cheese and wine tasting, and crepe parties to the takeaway and the restaurant. We have been coming to La Garangeoire for almost 20 years, our 21 year old son spent his childhood summers here and after a break of 5 years asked if we could revisit as a family again. The site is constantly being made even better than it was before and it’s always been great!

As everywhere people putting towels on loungers around pool yet not actually using them. Other little niggle was the amount of balls being thrown between groups in the pool. Maybe they could just keep to one area rather than being all over the pool

This is our 2nd year camping at La Garangeoire and had another great holiday. A friendly site with fantastic sized pitches. Lots for our teenagers to do and a safe and family friendly environment.

The toilets were slightly less well attended to than last year and were often without toilet roll, but this is a very minor complaint against all the positives!

Le fait d’avoir son petit confort avec des enfants en bas âge, ne pas avoir à courir jusqu’aux sanitaires. Emplacement calme et reposant

General :

We loved this site and we hope to come back again in 2024. So many great things about this site. One of the prettiest too, as you drive up to enter the site it’s truly beautiful. We loved the tennis, boules, table tennis and the boys loved the big football pitch. The timetable for activities was amazing we have not had this before, the kids enjoyed the inflatables night and the hair braiding. Trampolining was scheduled for a few times a week and the horse riding was an experience my daughter will never forget. The pool is a nice area with good slides and the lagoon was very special.

The takeaway was disappointing, I ordered the lasagne and it was cold. We took it back and they apologised, gave us free chips and heated up the lasagne, unfortunately the lasagne was still cold but at this point we gave up trying. Also disappointed that we were unable to join in the eurocamp activities for the children, we were restricted to the camp kids club as we booked directly with the campsitewhich didn’t have the same amount of activities unfortunately, my daughter was looking forward to the chocolate party to be told eurocamp only. However the camp site had a fantastic timetable.

The pitches were large and almost level. The sanitary blocks although compact were very good, except the hot water often ran out so we soon realised we had to wash the dishes later on after showers and not to have the water on full power. The shower also flooded out but that helped keep the floor clean anyway so not a real issue. We also book private sanitary and this didn’t disappoint.
