The ambiance at La Garangeoire is second to none. It’s a fantastic campsite both for families and friends. There is everything on the site and surrounding area that will make your holiday great. Best campsite around in my opinion

General :

The site advertises peacefulness and tranquility, no wifi apart from the reception and bar areas. Top be fair they almose achieve this, the reception complex, bar and restaurant are all easily accessible, clean and welcoming, the swimming pool complex is again clean and cared for although showing some signs af needing repair, pool edge. The toilet blocks, whilst a very few are dated, are spotless and all in good order, just as you would expect. The pitches are all well partitioned with hedges and are spacious. All in all an excellent location.

Eurocamp. Far too many cabins all squashed together with children misbehaving, almost as if the parents have said, stuff this discipline lark we are on holiday. Lack of night security to stop the noise at the campsites quiet hours, 10.30 till 8am. So unless you like the chance of being stuck beside the noise brigade, I suggest you get a pitch away from the huts. To balance this I am not against children and the enjoyment they get on holiday bvut the parents have to keep a better check on them, especially during quiet hours.

General :

We returned to La Garangeoire 10 years after discovering the campsite purely by chance, and falling in love with it. We have been every year other than when COVID prevented visits from the UK. We meet the same people from the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands year after year. The repeat business speaks for itself. The site has a classy ambience about it and caters for all tastes. From young families in the ‘Eurocamp’ zone to seasoned campers and caravaners, all are catered for.

Simply cannot think of anything!

No longer taking our own caravan abroad, we stated in a Garangeoire owned ‘Grande Cabane’ this time around. We remember these being installed when new, possibly 3-4 years ago. They are both now well bedded into their surroundings and private gardens. They provide quality accommodation, certainly for a couple, and would be fine for children perhaps beyond toddlers as they are raised slightly.

Three very minor things I would personally change. 1. Replace the outside grille with a gas barbecue. The grille was slow to cook and did not get particularly hot. May not have been working properly but did not warrant ‘reporting’ and making a fuss about. 2. It would be nice to have a few hooks inside to use to hang up a towel and tea towel etc in the kitchen. 3. Fly screens should be fitted to the windows as they are in your other accommodation units. Without screens it is not wise to leave the windows open despite the heat without inviting many bites.

General :

The staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was any trouble. Anne’s walk and knowledge was superb. We loved the history lesson. The facilities were fabulous you had opportunities to join in or sit back and take it easy.

Having the individual sanitary block was great? However the fact that the communal block was very close and very clean we could have stayed without it.

Allocated a caravan pitch which was very shaded and uneven facing back of Eurocamp cabins. Changed to pitch that didn't have water that we'd paid for but at least was near other tourers.

Noy being able to use cash and having to scan codes to open bins.

We had family staying in a mobile near us with children and they loved all childrens activities.

We stayed on Sarcelkes. Nice pitch on a beautifull spot.

liked everything, from first impressions turning into the site it looked very clean, pitches were all nice and clean and tidy, our comfort privacy pitch was great with its own shower, toilet, sink basically everything you could need, very nice stay

General :

As usual the campsite was so quiet, friendly and relaxing, and our mobile was perfectly located. We particularly love the garden with the bouncy castle in where children can play in the evenings, because parents can enjoy food or drinks while keeping an eye on them. The crepe parties are great! Our daughter enjoyed the lagoon which is so clean and nice for little ones.

Very minor issues - the covered pool seemed very cold compared to the outdoor one, and we missed having evening entertainers like last year (musicians, magicians etc.)!

Everything we needed was there and the location is perfect. We love that the little garden is not overlooked and the deck gets the evening sun.

The only thing is the mattress could be more comfortable!
