General :

Het was fijn dat we een erg rustige plaats hadden, zeker met onze hond erbij. Bovendien dicht bij een toegang tot het bos en 4 prima aan geduide wandelwegen. Moesten we dichter bij het zwembad verblijven, dan hadden we 's avonds wel meer last gehad van muziek, tot 23u soms.

Qua hygiëne kan deze camping toch nog beter. Er zijn veel te weinig vuilnisbakken. Minstens in elk 'laantje' / straatje met kampeerplekken, alsook in het directe bos en bij de start en aankomst van de uitgestippelde wandelwegen. Het sanitair werd dagelijks gepoetst, dor jobstudenten. Dit gebeurde niet zo nauwkeurig. Er hing echt geen frisse geur in de toiletten en douches. Echt 'vuil' was het sanitair niet, maar dit kan toch beter. Ook aan vb. sanitair en jeu de boules moet WIFI komen. Op dit moment is de camping hierdoor zijn 5 sterren niet waard.

Quite an English site at the time we were there. Lack of loungers by the pool due to people leaving towels on them all day when not there.

Clean, fresh, spacious

I disliked the fact that kids club put a screen on at the start and end of the session. This felt quite lazy and there are many other things that could be done instead. I think on a couple of days the screens went on for quite a while- ie still on at 1030 when I walked past. Lack of veg/ salads in the takeaway, service very slow in the take away

Since 2014 we have looked forward to our stays at La Garangeoire. Having not being there since 2019 we were a little disappointed with one aspect this year. The bar running out of stock in high season is not good - running out of beer, draught and bottle, running out of tonic are just the items we encountered, but our many friends there encountered the same and said that the same happened last year. Also, closing the small bar closing at 10pm in high season is very disappointing. Over the years we have enjoyed many quiet evenings here with our friends, when we don't want the loud big bar.

Nothing to dislike - it was perfect.

Our first time here, and we loved it. Well run with helpful staff and lots of great activities. Even though there were lots of people holidaying, it never felt crowded. Amazing outdoor activities. We also loved the walk with Anne talking about her family and La Garangeoire. The wine and cheese tasting is fab! The whole place felt very safe for the children too. We’ll be back!
