General :

We have stayed at this site many times, both worth our own caravan & now in accommodation. Our sons have spent time here as children and now have returned with us as adults. It is very much a family oriented site and one of the best we have visited & we have travelled all over France.

We liked the internal layout of this accommodation, but the best part was the external decked areas, that are private & provide the right mix of sun & shade.

General :

This was our 2nd visit with our now teenage children. It was a joy to return with our children again and also our dog. The first week was at full capacity but this did not matter as everything is so well organised. I liked that the sun beds were checked sometimes so more people could get a bed instead of towels, beds and toys. A highlight was an evening with a musician who holidays every year and played his music to us in the small bar (acoustic covers) including a song he’d written about La Garangeoire. Our dog had a fab time.

No dislikes but some small suggestions that would enhance this already amazing site. More dog bins (there was only one), safer cycle routes from the site, I wish I’d researched more about things to do outside of the site with our dog (we got too lazy once we were there), more smaller concerts and immersive/cultural experiences such as the painting, French lessons, food tastings etc. I liked that the WiFi was only at the centre-it got me off my phone.

The best pitch we’ve ever had (both times). Separated by tall hedges and big enough for caravan, anwning and 2 X 3 birth tents and a badminton set. Plenty shade too.

Again-only suggestions-less of the thorny bush cuttings at the back of the pitch (ouchy on bare feet and doggie paws). We were shaded really well by the trees but the falling acorns were noisy at night when it rained. However, I’d still prefer that for the shade. We really needed it.

General :

Friendly, large pitches, great food fishing, pedal boats fab - wonderful mapped out walks

Pool too small - lack of lighting / there was none on grass evening entertainment area so sat in the dark. Shop limited things to buy sweets / stuff for kids. Kids arcade could be vastly improved. More for the teenagers, pool area just for them one evening

We loved the campsite. Lots of things to do for either free (pedal boats) or small charge (pony ride €12.50 for 30 mins). The pool was good, a bit cold at times but nothing too bad. We were on a premium private sanitary pitch with a toilet and shower. It was handy but next time we will go for a pitch without this. We are already looking at booking for 2024!

La gentillesse et la disponibilité de tous les salariés sur le camping La sécurité du camping pour les campings

Il y a trop de demandes de contribution financière (Payer un tournoi de foot ou de molky ) Les enfants n’avaient même pas de lots de consolation… Toilettes sales à côté de la piscine

Les bancs sont beaucoup trop loins de la table pour les enfants Étagères un peu justes pour la chambre des enfants

General :

A very friendly campsite, plenty of room on site, clean facilities, very good bar / restaurant facilities. Good site for children. All drivers on site were very considerate of children playing / cycling on roads.

Explanatory signs on the waste / recycling facilities would have been helpful. I found the system very confusing. Plenty of people scratching their heads when first using them.

General :

Super camp site with great facilities, activities & above all friendly & helpful staff. Enough going on in the evening to entertain without turning the place into Marbella & a good range of activities in the day time (the kids clubs & football camps were especially good). Overall a friendly & welcoming site great I would say for families with kids. Visitors seem to return continually which says a lot! Thanks Team Castel Camping La Garangeoire!

Pool a little crowded in the day but fine in the morning & early evening. The extra fees for everything (on top of paying a high accommodation fee) such as entering tournaments were a little annoying.

The Safari Lodge was well equipped & comfortable. My only complaint would be it was a little dark inside (wardrobe areas especially) with limited lighting & switches that were quite high & niggly to access (especially for kids). That said my gang preferred the Safari Lodge to the Compact Mobile home (for the following 4 nights) which was a little too compact (& hot). The Lodge was also in a central location to access all the camp had to
